Industry Uses

PBTCA is an organic phosphine scale and corrosion inhibitor with low phosphorus content. It is superior to common organic phosphonic acids because of its excellent performance in corrosion and scale inhibition. It has a wide range of utilities with the capacity of acid & alkali & oxidant resistance. It does not hydrolyze even when the pH is above 14. It has good thermal stability and applies to the water quality with high temperature, high hardness, high pH and high concentrating ratio. It has high solubility for zinc salt and can make zinc in a dissolved state at pH 9.5. It is compatible with common water treatment agents for achieving synergy.


PBTCA is the most widely used in the formulation of high-efficiency scale and corrosion inhibitors. It has one of best performance, and it is also an excellent stabilizer for zinc salt. It is widely used in the corrosion and scale inhibition of recirculating cooling water system and oilfield water injection system, especially for compounding with zinc salt and copolymer. It can be used in occasions requiring high temperature, high hardness, high alkali and high concentration ratio. PBTCA can also be used as chelator and metal detergent in the detergent industry.
